7 Days Wildlife and Chimpanzee tracking

Day 1: Kampala –Murchison Falls National Park
Depart Kampala early morning taking a panoramic drive north-west through the famous Luwero Triangle. Stop over at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Opened up in 1998, the Rhino fund aims at re introducing black and white Rhinos in to Uganda’s protected areas as well as educating the local communities on endangered Rhinos, poaching and environmental conservation. The Rhino trek takes 1-2 hours and you will get an opportunity of viewing them at close quarters. Have a lunch stop in Masindi and continue on to the top of the falls. Dinner and overnight paraa safari lodge

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park
Early morning, go for game drive to search for giraffes, lions, hart beasts, elephants, cape buffalo and many other mammals. Birds include the Black Chested Snake Eagle, Blue Napped Mouse birds, the Secretary bird, Swallow Tailed Bee-eaters and the Silver Headed Agama. After lunch, at paraa, enjoy a boat ride on the placid Victoria Nile to the foot of the magnificent Murchison Falls where the Nile plunges through a narrow crevice. Disembark from your boat and take a 45 minutes hike to the gorge where the river explodes. Dinner and overnight at paraa safari lodge.

Day 3: Murchison – Kibale Forest National park
Take a scenic drive on to fort portal town; proceed to kibale forest national park. Lunch enrout. Upon reaching check in at primate lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Kibale –chimpanzee tracking
This morning you will be taken for chimpanzee tracking, through Kibale Forest National Park. During this walk you will have a very good chance of seeing many of the 13 primate species native to Kibale. Like the chimpanzees, monkeys and many more. Your guides have years of experience within the forest and are certain to be able to answer any of your questions. In the afternoon you will go for village tour where by you will see different styles of Batooro tribe, like dances, cooking, souvenirs and others. Be transferred to Kampala. Overnight and dinner at Primate Lodge

Day 5: kibale-Queen Elizabeth National park
In the morning, after breakfast, proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park. Have lunch at mweya safari lodge. In the afternoon, go for boat cruise at kazinga channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. Along the cruise animals like hippos, elephants will be seen in plenty. Birds like fish eagles, pelicans can also be seen. Return to Mweya safari lodge for dinner and overnight


Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, go game drive in kisenyi area which is known for animals like lions, elephants and other wild animals in their natural habitat. After lunch at mweya continue to kyambura for chimpanzee tracking. Enjoy many of them sloping down in trees. If lucky monkeys, birds can also be see around this beautiful area. Dinner and overnight at mweya safari lodge.

Day 7: Queen – Kampala
After breakfast from the lodge, start the journey to Kampala having a stop over at equator for photos and lunch.
