3 Days Uganda Primate Safaris

This 3 days Gorilla trekking tour in Uganda will take you to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park a home for half the number of Mountain Gorillas remaining in the whole world and the only Park in the whole world where mountain gorillas co-exist with Chimps. Enroute to Bwindi with stopover at the equator. It will be a long journey but rewarding.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National.
From your hotel of overnight, our guide will pick you then depart from Entebbe by road and head south-West to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Have a stopover for some informative talk and photographic opportunity at the Equator and then continue to Mbarara for Lunch. Travel through the Switzerland of Uganda with rolling green hills through the highlands, with views of the Virunga volcanoes of Rwanda and the Congo. The road will then lead us to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the mountain gorillas and you will sleep to the sounds of the mountain rainforest. Overnight at Buhoma Community Campsite.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking.
With your packed lunch after breakfast, you will report to the ranger station for registration and a talk by one of the rangers Before 8:00 am. You will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the Gorillas, which trek can take from half an hour to 9 hours. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. It amazing to sit, watch and photograph the gorillas in the forest among, listening to them marvel and grumble to each other. It is an extraordinary feeling being with these beautiful yet endangered Creatures. Overnight at Gorilla Resort/ Kitandara Tented Camp/ Buhoma Community Campsite.

Day 3: Departure
This morning you will proceed to Kampala via Kabale, Mbarara, Masaka stopping at the equator for photography and simple experiments. We will have our lunch enroute before proceeding to Kampala then Entebbe International Airport for your next flight home or a Kampala City Tour or visit Uganda Wildlife Education Center in Entebbe.
